THE NADA REGATTA COURSE-COURSE DETAILS

We will be having weekly head race scrimmage events until the fall head race season is over in November. We will try in general to have these on Saturday mornings, but keep an eye on weather updates each week as the day gets close for shift to another day.

Race distance is 4,670 meters.

The starting line at the Willow Bank Yacht Club is defined by the flag pole lined up with a large pine tree behind the yacht club; the finish is abeam the yellow dock at the north end of Caz lake. The shortest between these two points is a straight line!

Note: (In the event the Head Race event is moved to the West Shore because of offering a protected course in the lee of strong west winds.) The 4,670 meter NADA-approved alternate course extends from the same yellow dock at the north end, and finishes or starts abeam the Schicko residence (house for sale with paddle boat, just north of the slalom ski course). Race course will run along the protected Western shore, though the adventurous may experiment with the notion that a straight line track may be faster than the protected waters.
